The Evolution arch by labsquint.
It's a collection of stories of how B&B deal with their romantic relationship and work. I'm only half way through the 6th story...but it's really good because not only does labsquint shows the struggles B&B would face with their relationship and work...but she also focuses on the case and forensics, which I really like. (...and she writes a mean NC-17 sex scene too ;)) I suggest you read all of them starting with "Over the Edge," the beginning of the Evolution arch.

thank goodness this thread is here! Recommendations are so great because I came into Bones really late in the game (last season) and missed a lot of the early fics.

Right now I'm loving ripples. It's over at fanfic.net and was just updated!

Anyone have any great recs from the first three seasons? The earlier the better! I tried once to just read all of the pages at fanfiction.net but that was an epic fail! lol

It's complete. (Which is SO RARE) and new and hands down one of the best fics I've ever read. It's angsty. So be ready for your heart to get crushed, but it's not like....character death type angst. It's set in season six. It's incredibly long and took me two hours to read, but, you can't stop once you start, so be warned!

And yes... I took so long to really read Sensate Focus, I read the prologue and would never read the next one because I didn't like the prologue that much (I guess it must be because I'm not that fond of prologues), but then, when I started reading it I just couldn't stop until it was over. I remember I spent all the night reading.

I believe it's hands down the best Bones multi-chapter story. So brilliant.

Time out....I don't know if I read the prologue....or is sensate the prologue? ahhhhhh! lol
