This is tough. For me...I think Castle has great writing...but I'm not crazy about the actors chemistry. I'm not crazy about Bones' writing...but I think David and Emily just have more amazing chemistry ever. For character...I wasn't at all impressed by Castle's character in season 1. He was such a playboy. I absolutely LOVED Booth in seasons 1-5. He was so loyal, heroic...and just amazing. Now...Castle has really matured and he's going to wait for Beckett...and Booth, well, we know what happened to Booth in season 6. For acting and looks, it's DAVID BOREANAZ ALL THE THEY WAY!!!! I think Nathan is funny and boyishly charming...but I still haven't been inspired by is acting and I don't think he's that attractive. I think David is so talented and amazing. He just gets so into these characters...and just goes for it. I have watched all of Buffy and Angel...and David is absolutely AMAZING (...but then again, my opinion is biased because I have only seen Nathan in Buffy and Firefly...and I wasn't very impressed performances) All that...and I would still have to vote for Booth. I have loved him (David Boreanaz) for 5 years.

jro54 Thank you for letting us into your mind. Good to know you're as conflicted as I am. My viewing of Nathan goes back to his days as Joey on OLTL, and while I've always enjoyed his performances (and despite the fact that he now is a bit pudgier than works for him...it's never a good thing to be able to do a good impression of Fat Elvis ) he unfortunately will never be able to out do DB who is just a delicious actor in all variables. Sticking with the characters - Booth would kick Castle's butt any day to boot. Booth has never lied to Bones - not even to save her pain, and I am not looking forward to the fall out between Beckett & Castle when the lies all come to light as they inevitably will.
