| No need to worry about a possible love interest. Jennifer Beals' character is a CIA agent who has a history with Castle. We don't know if this history was romantic or nor, but we do know that she could have been the inspiration for one of the characters in the Derrick Storm novels. In the novels there is CIA agent named Clara Strike. Surprisingly, Jennifer Beals' character is also named Clara. From the synopsis of one of the Derrick Storm Novels we learn that: | Quote: |

Up to this point, Beckett assumes that it is only her who Castle has used as the inspiration for one of the major characters in his books, so it will come as a shock to learn that Nikki Heat was not the first. Naturally, Beckett will suspect that Castle might do this for all the special ladies in his life, but she knows that none of his ex-wives have figured in his books. As a fan of his novels, Beckett will draw upon the relationship that Derrick and Clara had in the novels and suspect that the same is true for Beals' character and Castle. This is going to be the fun part of the episode. Beckett might feel threaten, but she doesn't know exactly what type of relationship they actually did have.

| Jennifer Beals' character is called Sophia Conrad...SC...a switch of the initials to get to CS...Clara Strike!
We (as yet) do not know what kind of relationship Sophia & Castle had...Castle could have been attracted to her...found her interesting? And we don't know how Sophia responded to Castle? She could have hated him?! |
