PostSubject: The Night Before Christmas-Lab Style   Fri Dec 17, 2010 4:24 am

A/N: This was fun to write, but it was HARD! I hope you enjoy! Happy Holidays

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the lab
Not a creature was stirring, not even Hodgins’ beetles.
The bones were stored with care, in hopes that Brennan would soon be there.

The squints were nestled all snug in their offices,
While visions of phalanges danced in their heads
Cam in her snuggie, and I in my lab coat,
Had just settled in for a long winter’s night of paperwork.

When out on the platform there arose such a clatter,
I spring from my desk to see what was the matter.
Away to the door I flew like a flash,
I tore open the blinds and pushed open the door.

The florescent lights, gave a glow to things above and below.
When what to my wondering eye should appear a body bag and eight FBI techs.
With a Special Agent so lively and quick
I knew in a moment it must be Agent Booth

More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
and he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!
"Now Johnson! Now, Burns now, Howard and Sims!
On, Blackburn On, McHale on, on Daniels and Watson!
To the top of the stairs! To the top of the autopsy table!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
when they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the Jeffersonian the coursers they flew,
with the bag full of remains, and evidence too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the platform
The familiar footsteps of impatient techs
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the stairs Agent Booth came with a smile.

He was dressed all in black from his head to his foot,
and his clothes were all tarnished with dirt and snow.
A bundle of note cards he had in his hand,
and he looked like a sportscaster, just covering the fight.

His eyes-how they twinkled! His dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up in a cocky grin,
and the beard of his chin was a day old
The poker chip he flipped up in the air,
It fell at his side like a leaf.

He had a broad face and warm brown eyes,
that sparkled when he laughed, like stars!

He was long and lean, a knight in standard issue FBI armor
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
soon told me I had everything to dread!

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
and laid out the files, then turned with a jerk.
And pointing finger he descended the stairs,
and giving a nod, out the door he went!

He sprang to his SUV to his team gave a whistle,
and away they all flew like Agents in pursuit.
But I heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight,
"Happy squinting to all, and to all a goodnight!"
